Kindly RSVP no later than April 1st. No paper invitations will be sent (save a tree!). Your website response is sufficient. Feel free to call or text Michele with any questions! (949) 422-1564.
Note: There are 3 different events to RSVP to including:
-Welcome Party (no rehearsal dinner is happening)
-The Wedding Ceremony and Reception
-The Farewell Brunch
Parking
As you enter Kingmont Estates please watch for the mailbox on your left with a large sign or decoration. Turn left into the driveway and parking will be onsite.
Weather
Spring in the Sierra Foothills is a lovely time to visit. However, we do have a 20% chance of showers (although we have submitted a request for sunshine). The high temperature is 75 degrees and the low around 55 degrees. We definitely encourage bringing a jacket or wrap… unless you are from Switzerland or Milwaukee.
Food
We will serve hors d’oeuvres and drinks prior to the ceremony – no growling tummies! After the nuptials you can look forward to a sit-down dinner with choice of entre. We will offer vegetarian, gluten free and MEAT too.
Other local activities
This part of California is beautiful and worth exploring if you have the time! For your consideration:
-North Shore Lake Tahoe is 88 miles from the wedding location. Traffic can be tricky so be aware of this potential time suck.
-Downtown Loomis has grown tremendously and now has two stop lights! A charming place to visit (and maybe grab a bite) is the High Hand Nursery (https://www.highhandnursery.com/) including an art gallery and brewery.
-Just down the road from Kingmont estates is the Flower Farm B & B. Flowers and orchards and old buildings and a cute restaurant. And an on-site wine tasting place called The Casque.
-Old town Auburn is about 8 miles north of the Barn and is a cute place to spend a couple of hours looking at the shops and grabbing a curated coffee.
-Hiking in the area is abundant and beautiful.
Travel
The best option is to fly SWA in Sacramento international airport. Driving is also possible but it’s a long day at 8 hours from Orange County (with no delays).
Check out the accommodations page for recommendations on where to stay. Because our event is intimate (small) we have not reserved a room block.
Registry/gifts
It’s corny, but appropriate:
Your presence is our present!
No gifts, no cash. We would love a card from you if you would be so kind. We won’t have a sign in book, but we would treasure a collection of cards from friends and family. When we are old (next year) we can sit and reminisce 😉
Dress Code
Semi-formal is what Google says. What we say is festive and a little dressy and comfortable because we will be married in a real barn. If you enjoy a little country flare, feel free to throw it into the mix. We are getting married at sunset time and would expect the temperature to be about 68 degrees (God willin’ and the crick don’t rise).
